Compliance status
Following the self-assessment carried out, it has been determined that the TU website is partially compliant with Royal Decree 1112/2018 of 7 September, due to the non-compliance of the aspects indicated below.
Inaccessible content
The content listed below is not accessible for the following reasons:
Non-compliance with RD 1112/2018: - The aspects on which work is being carried out to achieve full compliance are described below (referencing the applicable requirements of UNE-EN 301549:2022 in brackets). On the pages of https://www.tu.com/ there are some cases where the following non-compliances occur:
- There are pages with images or significant non-text content without alternative text (1.1.1)
- Some pre-recorded videos on the website do not have audio description, transcription or alternative means (1.2.3 and 1.2.5)
- There is inappropriate use of heading elements (<h1>-<h6>) (1.3.1) and on some pages there are empty headings, so the screen reader cannot convey anything to the user (2.4.6)
- Tags are missing in form elements provided by third parties (cookie banner) (1.3.1)
- Some ARIA roles are missing the required secondary roles or their description, or there are incorrectly related ARIA elements (1.3.1)
- There is no full native semantic labelling on the page (1.3.1)
- In some cases, the navigation and reading order is not logical (1.3.2)
- The website does not support vertical orientation on desktop (1.3.4)
- In some cases, such as links, colour is the only method used to convey critical information (in the case of links, which is interactive text that links to other content) (1.4.1)
- In some cases, there is insufficient contrast between the foreground and background (1.4.3 and 1.4.11)
- In some isolated cases, images are used to represent textual content (1.4.5).
- Sometimes content that is displayed when the cursor is hovered over or receives focus cannot be dismissed (1.4.13 and 2.1.2)
- There are pages where keyboard navigation is not fully operational and/or accessible to all components (2.1.1).
- There may be some videos with movement lasting more than 5 seconds that cannot be stopped, paused or paused (2.2.2).
- It may not be easy to skip blocks and/or access the main content of the page (2.4.1).
- Some pages are missing titles (2.4.2)
- Some links have been found to have inadequate descriptions or undefined functionality (2.4.4 and 4.1.2)
- On some pages, it is not clear which element is receiving focus or an invisible element is being focused (2.4.7)
- There is no mobile alternative to certain pointer gestures, such as scrolling (vertical or horizontal) (2.5.1)
- There are elements where the visible text that acts as its label does not match its accessible name (2.5.3)
- On occasion, interactive areas do not have a minimum surface area of 24x24 (2.5.8)
- There are attributes that do not match their roles. Elements that do not have accessible names have also been detected. (4.1.2)
- Some pages contain malformed code errors (9.4.1.1) and user interface elements that are not recognisable by assistive tools (9.4.1.2)

Content not covered by applicable legislation: - There may be third-party content that is not developed in this unit or under its control, such as images, interactive maps, videos, documents, players, etc.
- Parts or all of the website may be created with WordPress, so due to updates or changes to the systems, not all generated or auto-generated content may comply with all accessibility regulations.

Optional content
The version of this website currently visible is dated 09/06/2025, when the accessibility level in force at that time was reviewed.
From that date onwards, partial reviews of new or modified web content are carried out on a daily basis, both of the templates and of the final pages and documents published, in order to ensure compliance with the accessibility requirements of Standard UNE-EN 301549:2022, taking into account the exceptions of Royal Decree 1112/2018, of 7 September.
Among others, the following measures are adopted to facilitate accessibility:
- Use of alternative text in images.
- Headings are labelled according to a logical structure.
- Links provide details of the function or destination of the hyperlink.
- Forms have attributes that facilitate accessibility.
- Use of W3C standards: XHTML 1.0, CSS 3.0, WAI AA.
- Pop-up windows are avoided.
- Moving graphics and flashing images are avoided and, in situations where their use is essential, the necessary functionalities are provided to stop the movement.
- The use of colour to give meaning to content is avoided.
- Colour tones that have been previously validated in the text-to-background contrast algorithms for WCAG 2.1 are used.
In addition, content is continuously audited and reviewed to facilitate interpretation and improve navigation on the website.
